Has anyone heard anything about the BBIBs lifting their global firm wide hiring freezes for laterals? Despite the layoffs I have seen some BBIBs posting new job ads recently. Does anyone have any insights or similar observations?

I thought this was due to firmwide cuts at both junior and senior levels. There's another post on here talking of potentially better SA return offer rates due to the cuts. I'd imagine this is why.
