First Paycheck
I’m an incoming analyst at a BB, but I did not intern with them over the summer.
Does anyone know if we give our direct deposit info during the onboarding process prior to starting or if we do that during training?
Curious because I need to start planning my expenses. I imagine that if I give the information during the training period, there may be some lag for my first paycheck(1 month after start instead of two weeks after)
They do this when they onboard you
You do all this during onboarding but bear in mind you might not get your first salary anyway in the first month. At my bank if your start date is after the 15th of the month your get the money for that month in the next month payroll. Check your employee handbook / contract
Thank you for your response—my start date falls very close to the start of the month.should I expect to get it around the 15th or the 30th?
Not sure how it works where you’re based, in the UK your salary accrues based on the calendar month and is paid at the end of it. The 15th day thing is just for your first Paycheck, then it’s 1st-31st like all the other employees
when you’ll actually get your salary you have to check, it varies from country to country. Check the contract / handbook or simply email HR. As I said for me it’s close to the 30th day of the month
