First year student resume for internship?

Hey,

I'm in Montreal and will be attending my first year of university next fall majoring in finance. I realize the ultimate goal during uni is to land an IB internship/Summer Analyst position and I was looking to maximize my chances by doing an internship in the summer of my first year.

What I'm wondering is, how do I land one with a resume basically blank of relevant experience? What type of things should I include on it/how can I get an internship being only a first year? Is it even possible?

Can things like being part of the finance club or other clubs on campus help me out?

Thank you!

This quote has me worried, but perhaps I just misunderstood you. Is investment banking something you actually want to do? Or is it something you simply feel you should do because everyone else around you seems to be going for it?

If it's the latter, stay the fuck away. You will burn out, won't enjoy it, will be disappointed, ...
