FT Partners Update

Hi monkeys, I am highly interested in the FinTech space and have been looking into FT Partners (among other notable FinTech groups at banks). I haven't been able to find any recent information about them.

I would greatly appreciate any updates.

I actually don't think that's true anymore, someone correct me though.

Have heard it is disgustingly sweaty, but with low deal flow and very high turnover.

Back a couple years ago it was extremely sweaty. Analysts + Associates on 3+ live deals minimum (not = 3 “live deals” at a BB, FT is very lean teams). MD would send you info on a Friday and tell you to send them a 70-80 page CIP on Monday, for example. They seemed to comp well during this period, at least.

Nowadays? With equity cap markets effectively closed and FinTech valuations plummeting, struggle to see a world where economics weren’t materially impacted. Think they lowered base comp. I doubt the work load has reduced, probably just rotated to BD work for when valuations come back.

Hope this helps. Info comes from some laterals at my shop from FT.
