Generalist IB Programs? Pros Cons?

I'm looking for generalist platforms and want to know what the bests ones are on the street.

I feel that I like analyzing businesses, rather than specific industries. Would fin sponsors be a good proxy for a "generalist program" or are there pure generalist programs where one day I might pitch an industrials deal, but be staffed on a live consumer healthcare deal?

Does this exist and what are the pros / cons for this model as a junior?

In a generalist M&A program. Pros: you learn a little about a lot. Cons: you learn a little about a lot.

If your goal is to learn about many different industries and business models at a high level, I think a generalist program would be great for you. However, if you want to actually become an expert on each business model or industry you encounter, I think this would be very challenging to do as a generalist unless you do multiple deals in the same space.

Moelis LA and NY are the best on the street for a generalist program
