Getting First Round Interviews But Unable to Progress

I've had some first round interviews but I'm struggling to actually get past the first round and to a superday. I'm at a semi-target and only a handful of places come here to recruit. GS comes but I feel like it's honestly a crap shoot; even though I'll still apply, I know that everyone else will to. TBH I'm at a pretty dark point right now and feel really bad about myself. I've been doing mock interviews with people and have explicitly told them to be as honest as they can be and pick apart my points as possible. I've been kicking my tires but feel like it's going nowhere. Any advice would be appreciated, much love everyone.

My guess is your technicals aren't to what they want and/or 'your story about why banking' may be weak.

Bankers usually don't correct you in technical questions too. I remember messing one up in a first round and got dinged. The interviewer only gave me the correct answer to what he was looking to probably because we did get along fairly well. Kind of hinted that the interview didn't go well so getting ghosted by HR afterwards wasn't that surprising.

Would rather not go into detail but the interviewer did a great job on his end. Was one of the most engaged interviewers I ever had in a good way. We skipped intros because he knew me from our coffee chats. Great guy and even though I got dinged at his firm, I would still reach out to him to casually catch up (and not for networking reasons).
