Grad School or Real World

Guys, I wanted to reach out and see if you had any advice for me as I set out for my senior year. I am graduating with my BA in finance in three years and I have had an internship with a family office doing M&A and I have also been helping doing corporate financial analysis for one of the companies we purchased since we have had them apart of our portfolio. I wanted to see what you guys thought about me either heading to grad school, sticking with the company I am with, or trying to branch out to something else. I like what I do right now, but the one trouble with family offices is the deal flow. We will be slammed sometimes and other times its dead and not much to do.

Let me know what you think I really appreciate the advice.

Eerily similar background. I graduated in 3 years with a BA in finance in May. I am currently interning at a small M&A boutique and will be headed to a one-year masters think (Vanderbilt, Duke, Wash U). I ultimately decided to pursue the one-year M.S. because my goals is IB at a MM/BB from my school there was no way that was gonna happen. The moment I got accepted to my program I had immediate access to hundreds of alumni working in IB. I have been networking my ass off and I think I have a shot at MM recruitment this fall. If you are like me and came from a no name university the brand name recognition is extremely helpful. Hope this helps.

Alright, I am noticing the same thing since I come from a no name school that it is hard to get traction with anyone. I have had interviews with ML this summer, but they want me call them after I am in the industry for a couple years because they are high net worth private wealth management. This is tough decision because it also comes down to me deciding if I want to play pro hockey or start working full time or go to grad school. Either way I am taking the GMAT this year.

Thanks for the response really helps.
