These are completely different industries. At this stage, you have to value what is most important for you and your career. Are you looking for specific exit opportunities to PE for example? Then GS IBD would be your best bet. Are you looking for a more sourcing / entrepreneurial route to take? Then Insight might be better.

Both firms are obviously great and hold its own pros over the other, but you have to establish for yourself what you are looking for in the near term.

Purely down to what you want to do in life- both are awesome opportunities.

If you’re interested in IB/PE/have no idea, GS will open tons of doors into PE along with HFs and pretty much anything in finance.

If you’re interested in VC, go to Insight. They have one of the most respected analyst programs in the industry. Can do anything in GE or VC after that role.

If you’re on the fence, take GS. Only take insight if you’re positive about going into VC

Comp wise, Insight pays way more than GS so that's definitely an advantage. WLB will be similar at both, with Insight having a slight advantage.

Long-term though, GS will open more doors while Insight will make it difficult to exit VC/GE. If you do want VC/GE though there is literally no better place to start than Insight. Great dealflow, sky-high comp, great culture.

has insight finished FT recruiting? it looked like on the INsight thread they havent started yet

I would just take GS if you're in IBD Classic (except CMG, NatRes, RE) - you'll be able to head to a similar exit in 2 years.
