I’m seeing a number of people who were VPs (of varying seniority) at Guggenheim get promoted straight to MD in recent months. Does anybody have any insight into this? Does MD at Guggenheim equate to D at most other banks?

In interactions there, Ive seen people called directors who based on years experience would be VPs elsewhere.
Is it Director = VP
Md = Director
And then you have SMD / Partner?
We don’t have plain-vanilla Directors in IB.
