Harris Williams case interview - Any advice?

I have a case interview with Harris Williams coming up soon. Has anyone experienced their interview process. Any advice would be appreciated.

Anyone care to answer this question? I have the same thing in a week. tth7 - can you shed some light now, presuming you've been the process already?

Btw mine is a case interview for an associate position (post-MBA, post-2 years of shitty economy hustling to stay competitive). Thanks.

2/3 of HW clients are PE groups. HW really goes to great lengths and really advertises that they have strong PE placement in their analyst/associates.

in terms of the case, because like 95% of all their deals are sell-side M&A, they'll likely give you a situation where a company that sells a quirky product is looking to sell (think something weird, like an air hockey manufacturer or something). You'ld probably be asked to identify potential buyers then valuation techniques, etc, etc.

my case study was essentially a 3-4 page description of a business with some summary financials provided. they asked me to give some perspectives on the business and the industry. the discussion was centered around the situation where they said i had 10-15 minutes to get on the phone with management - so what questions would i ask that would help me sell the business. questions should be around valuation, the industry, and the company. they want to see how you would position the business if you were a sellside banker

I went through the SA process for HW last winter, and got an offer (didn't accept though).

I never got a case interview, just a lot of 2 on 1s, usually an Analyst/Associate w/ an MD/D. Senior guys there are really cool, and despite what everyone says about doing cookie cutter sell sides, they are pretty good at what they do.

Interviews were a combo of fit/technical, with tech if you have a finance background of some kind. Since their a small firm, and closely knit, the personality is def important, but overall their a laid back firm, with everyone working quite hard, even given its "regional" status or whatever.

Sorry I can't help about the case interview
