Headhunters reach out
I'm almost about to start my SA role at an IB. I just got reached out by a headhunter (Henkel) and I am expected to graduate next year. I don't know how to approach this and to whether sign up for their candidate portal. Like is it possible for a junior to network with headhunters? I am just clueless as to how these headhunter processes work.

Did you sign up for their portal? I don't have any idea how to approach this. Like I don't to hurt my SA return offer chances if this might be something not to do during my summer internship. Do you what I'm saying lol?
Got the email too…pretty sure they’re already looking at us for Summer 2027 start date for associate roles in PE mainly (or HF at any date if you’re into that). They’ve been ramping up the timelines and this is just another example of it. I’d sign up so you’re in the system and in the loop about events senior year and the summer going into FT.

I am a SA at a BB at a top group and have gotten no reach-out. What kind of firm are you at and is it also a target? I want to for sure, so now am worried that I am somehow already behind.
Im at a top MM bank. Go to non target school though.

Isn’t it too early to reach out to summer analysts that haven’t even started yet. Also, how does henkel compare to other headhunters in terms of reputation?

The questionnaire asks if you'd be interested in FT PE analyst recruiting. I'd imagine they're building out their database for FT PE analyst processes once the internship ends.

What is the length of answers headhunters are expecting for your extracurricular involvement and the behavioral-type questions about challenges you've faced?

The last question on the form asked about other SAs in my group. Is that a normal question? Why would they want me to be providing that information, as I assume that they have it and that is how they got my information?
