I am currently a high school senior planning to graduate spring 2020. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how I could potentially seek an internship with any type of financial institute this summer. I am currently located in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia, PA.

Almost none of them recruit freshman. Like I said, your best bet is something local and small and use that as a stepping stone to get something either your sophomore or junior summer.
