HL RX vs EVR RX vs PJT RSSG for Post-MBA
Hi Everyone,
I have seen a lot of threads on the above companies out of undergrad. Would like to know if anyone has insights on the recruiting process and experience at these three companies, post-MBA?
What type of previous experience do these companies look for when hiring from business schools?
Which company would be the best to aim for post-MBA in terms of culture and pay specifically?
Hi Investment Manager in AM - FI, any of these threads helpful:

You're welcome.

Debtor mandates tend to be more technical so that’d be a reason to go PJT/EVR. PJT also pays more than anyone else and offers cool perks like firm ski trips but honestly since associates will be at the firm for the long haul your decision should come down to the people.

I worked at one of these my sophomore year (I think you can guess which one offers a sophomore program). Hours were somewhat brutal but that’s probably down to covering an industry that is getting absolutely crushed right now and has ample restructuring mandates to compete for. I would go with PJT RSSG because you will get exposure of more than just RX, which you will not at EVR RX/HL RX. My roommate over that summer was at PJT and the things he/his friends were staffed on ranged from tradition debtor RXs to advising a family run company on how to kick out a legacy investor/family through forming some type of a NewCo. Very interesting work, smart people, and incredible pay.
Thanks for this. When you say brutal hours can you be more specific?
Most associates were in the office M-F until 11pm minimum, analysts usually left a good bit after them. One particular week for us was brutal - my team up to the VP level were in the office until midnight for 4 nights in a row and all came in over the weekend.
Which ne offers a sophomore program
Would appreciate any insights on the other two questions posed in the OP...
