I recruited for them heavily for the summer analyst program. It was for private debt advisory and was a fairly small team. Seemed more like a sales role.
I love how people shit on “sales roles” like it’s some knock. Revenue is generated through sales and relationships - not your “technical” logo adjusting.
If anything, getting early exposure to sales and relationship-building is more important than ever.
HL DCM team is fairly technical (and capital solutions more broadly). They are building full financing models. Have worked with them was pretty surprised by how much modeling they did.
I wasn’t talking about their DCM team, I was referring to private debt advisory. Take this with a grain of salt but I recruited for them pretty hard.
