I think you have to be pretty interested in what you're doing or else you're going to want to poke your eyes out. My corporate finance courses were always my favourite. I have my own trading account and read the financial press out of interest not just to stay on top of things.

If you have a passing interest you're prolly not gonna last very long in the industry because your just going to hate your life.

yeah, this is what i figured. as much as I try to force myself to read the wsj from cover to cover, I'd much rather read the sports pages.

I find finance to be really fascinating. I'm sure I won't be saying that at 5am trying to figure out why my models don't work, but for now, it's true. The hours are bad enough, would hate to be spending so much time doing something I didn't like.

that's my goal. When I was a lawyer, I dreaded waking up every single day and I survived for 4 years. I hope banking is a little better.

I'll admit that I do like to keep up with the financial news. I enjoy finance classes the most as well, find it to be pretty sweet stuff.

I am sure Donnie Deutsch is making money, and a lot of it!

You can make money anywhere you are if you work hard enough....

Making money in marketing wont be as fast as in banking but at least you would be doing something you like and enjoy!
