How people deal with IBS in Investment Banking

Routine, routine, routine.
Eat the same foods at the same time everyday. Eventually things became predictable.
My experience has been I can make symptoms pretty predictable even with immense stress if I standardize. I do not eat breakfast and eat at 12pm and 5pm. I find having stomach issues after 5pm is usually not a big deal, but it’s a problem if you have it during the day.
I’d also recommend upping water intake, considering caffeine at the same time to make bowel movements predictable (although this can flare symptoms for some), and seeking a doctor who might be able to prescribe drugs that can help.
Not eating breakfast was the biggest game changer for me personally
