How senior bankers bring in business
I'm wondering how it is that MDs actually go about getting new business every day. If you're in an M&A vs. a Restructuring role, what's the biggest difference?
And for VPs/EDs that are looking to be promoted to MD, how do they show that they have the ability to bring in business?
Do the answers to the questions above differ between BB/EB/MM firms?
I'm curious about this as I am considering banking as a long-term career instead of a stepping stone to something else, but I really want to think about what the important years down the line will look like.
