How to email a "contact" / MD at BB
Hello everyone, I'm a long time lurker and really enjoy this website. Please help me out with any advice that you may have. I'm a rising senior at a non target trying to break into IB. I have a current internship at a "no name" boutique but of course I want to eventually work at one of the BB. Long story short, my uncle (an architect) helped build a house for this MD who works at one of the top BB. He told him that I'm in school and trying to break into the industry and the MD gave him his card. So now how do I email this guy? What should the subject even be? I really don't know what to say or how to word it. I just have so many questions lol. Please help me out and give me some advice on how to format this email. Also do you think this could lead to anything serious such as an internship offer? Or are all SA offers/interviews given through the traditional application process. Please guys I don't want to mess up this great opportunity and send him an email as poorly written as this post..lol.
Subject "Student you Met at XYZ"
Dear xyz,
It was a pleasure to meet you at [insert here]. Would you have time for a quick chat to discuss your work in banking, especially within [insert group]. I would appreciate the opportunity learn from your experiences in the industry.

I know but I can't seem to find any of them besides the generic cold email. I feel as this situation is a little different. could you please direct me to some of those threads

I feel like if you can't properly write an email yourself you are not ready for the BB position you so badly want.
