How to go from SA @ top boutique to BB FT?

Interning at an industry-focused boutique (one tier below EBs I think, i.e. one of FT Partners/Qatalyst/Leerink/Greenhill/Blair) next summer. How do I leverage that to recruit FT at a BB next fall? When should I start networking with alumni at BBs?

My reasons for wanting this: BB will give me better promotions/exit opps down the line, will be able to do bigger deals at BB, will be in more elite/prestigious seat, will have a stronger "brand" to start my career -- are these all valid reasons to invest extra time for re-recruiting on top of just trying to get the return offer at the current SA?

edit: I've found this helpful thread but still  wonder if their advice to not network till 3 weeks into the internship is well-founded
