How to ragebait other intern?

Started an internship two weeks ago and I’m working with another intern. He seems to be getting way more work than me, while I’m just sitting at my desk doing nothing. The team seems to like him way more, prob because they’re racist but idk.

I really need this return offer, so I’m wondering if you guys have any ideas on how to ragebait him? I need to make him crash out in the pit so he loses all credibility with the team. I know this is messed up but it’s unfair how they always ignore me and talk to him instead.

I would say you should be more proactive with your seniors in getting work, requesting feedback, overdelivering and proving yourself to them through the quality of your work.

Comments and behavior like this is why people in the industry get a bad rep for being scum bags…. Maybe the team likes him better because he isn’t an insufferable baby calling everything racist that slightly offends their fragile ego. And sabotaging your other intern? Great idea that’ll def get the team to think you’d be a great addition to the team😂😂Grow up and forget the victim mentality and maybe someone will actually like you.

I try to do that but the thing is, I genuinely don't think they like me because of my race... and don't say I'm whining when I hear them mock my accent.

ragebait him by being proactive in asking for work, doing your very best, and having a positive attitude even if you're pissed because you feel ignored. he's gonna lose all control

If you use Onedrive or smth similar where you can edit PPT online so others see your edit I have a good idea.

I was pissed off by another analyst once so I went into the PPT and gave him stickers as if I was the VP (VP was also in the doc and always gave comments like this so nobody would notice) and I made him do a lot of backup pages and he sat for that until 4-5 AM. The VP also did not really notice as all of those pages were in the backup and he thought they were likely pulled off the shelf.

You realize if the other intern just tells everyone else behind your back all the annoying shit you have been doing all summer, you are not getting the return offer. Or other people will notice you are being a dick and not give you the return.

Too bad I don’t get to showcase my work at all to be recognized… that’s why I have to sabotage my other intern

Obviously I have no idea of what your work product is, it's likely your very poor attitude and approach that is holding you back. None of your monkey shit came from me. I am genuinely trying to be constructive. I'd spend an afternoon this weekend reflecting on your attitude at work.

Make a fake email under your co-interns name and send out extremely cringy networking emails to as many bankers you can find on Bay Street. Make sure the email mentions that they hate your current firm and name drop some Associates they work with and how they want to leave ASAP. Sit back and laugh as the email gets forwarded around the office.

can you explain this further? like critical thought? am an incoming SA so would appreciate what exactly you mean.

Banking is FULL of toxic people, so I’m sure there’s one or two that did what I wanna do and survived. Come back to me in 3 months and I’ll let you know when I get the return

If you guys look at the rest of this guys posts you can tell he's clearly too ahead of himself and has a huge ego. Blames everything on his race, parents, peers with more connections, etc. Wonder where he's working (maybe unpaid remote search fund) this or next summer.

Honestly, there's nothing I can say that will change your mind over a comment, but I'll try regardless. You're coming at this problem with a closed mindset that the sole reason for you not getting work is because of externalities. You're not thinking introspectively and asking yourself what you can do to increase your visibility or your skillset within the role.

Things like: internally networking with your FT colleagues to get a better sense of what they're working on; performing an audit of an existing financial model and seeing if you can trace the logic and understand how this may be maintained/rolled every quarter; reviewing slide decks to see what the content writing or style looks like and seeing if you can mirror it; grabbing lunch or dinner with the intern and seeing what's work for him. Any one of these will influence your odds of getting a return offer much greater than sabotaging.

Is the world unfair? Yah, no sh*t. Some people grow up without food nor shelter and others grow up inheriting millions. But blaming every inconvenience on those around you is a bad mentality to adopt. The way to succeed is to ask yourself how to overcome the obstacles in your way, recognizing them as a given. You will never have a world with no challenges, or obstacles in any aspect of your life. You wouldn't blame the weights at a gym for being too heavy, or the waiter at the restaurant for a date going south, so why are you so obsessed in blaming everyone, but you for your experience?

Oh this is the Ivey kid that was mad at alum for ignoring his networking emails. This is why your internship is a boutique with 2 interns lmao reconsider how you operate in life man

It's exactly this sort of thinking, that you need to ragebait your intern co-worker to get people to like you more, that is the reason why people don't like you. People are intuitive. They see through you for who you really are.

So in this situation, and similar situations in life, in which you feel like you're getting the short end of the stick, CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE. Read books like Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People, or How To Win Friends And Influence People. Become truly likeable, from deep within your heart and soul all the way through to your head, and with everything that comes out of your mouth. Then you will no longer feel like you need harm or destroy somebody else to make you look better.
