In case they didn’t teach you in the clan, corporate diversity isn’t synonymous to “non-white”. It prioritizes the following groups: women, black/hispanic/indigenous men, and LGBTQ. Based on internal HR stats, gender diversity is the one firms mostly care about and white women tend to be its main beneficiaries (aka DEI Becky). 

Based on DEI disclosures, non-diverse candidates refer to men including Caucasian, Arab, Brown and Asian. 

 

Brown refers mostly to men of South Asian origin. May be pull up a DEI disclosure and spend 5 mins on the intro pages.
