I got fired today after 6 months on the job

They said i had a good attitude and strong work ethic but I “didn’t get it”. They’re giving me 2 months to get another job. I’m deflated. Do i even try to rerecruit for IB or should i just go to PWM route (which i totally wouldn’t mind)

That makes me feel better. the whole thing was bizarre - not a single day of training and I was the only analyst brought on. just sucks to have to apply and interview all over again, but this time with rent to pay. live and learn...

Sorry to hear, that really sucks. Echoing the previous reply - started at a regional boutique years ago around the same time as two other analysts and both were fired 6 months in.

My advice would be try and reflect on what went wrong from their prospective and improve the best you can. Also doesn't hurt to do some soul searching to figure out if IB is really what you want to do. You'd be surprised at what else is out there that may peak your interest.
