IB abroad—college freshman

It would be amazing to land on a position in IBs, but the competition is insane, at least in America. As someone with a decent international background, I’m pretty much open to work anywhere except in underdeveloped countries that are too sketchy to live in. English-speaking countries are preferred, of course.

I’m a freshman at a semi-target school from the west coast. Majoring in Economics and minoring in Computer Science. Finance major is not offered at my school. Basically I want to graduate in 3 years and become an analyst either at an IB abroad or a smaller firm in the U.S. No relevant experience in the finance field yet—no clue where to start as a freshman, actually.

Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks
