IB Lateral GPA: +0.1 unethical?

I'm a 1st year analyst at a boutique IB looking to lateral to an MM. Went to a solid state school (non-target) and graduated with a 3.41 GPA. Would it be highly unethical to put a 3.5 GPA on my resume?

My thinking is that since I am from a non-target, I may just get dinged immediately for the GPA even though I have a full year of IB experience with (what will be) 1-2 closed deals on my resume but with a 3.5, the GPA will pass the cutoff and the transaction experience will be the focus point.

And before anyone says it, yes, I know this is lying / should have studied harder in college / etc. but I cannot change this and I feel that having a GPA that is 0.09 lower than it needs to be should not kill my chances at lateraling.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

EDIT: It appears the answer to my question is, yes, it's unethical. 3.4 it is.

How would you go about explaining yourself if they ask for a transcript and see a .09 difference? (if they are even willing to listen to you because they most likely would just discard you)

I broke into FO with a 2.9 GPA from a nontarget. GPA is not end all be all, you may get fewer interview opportunities being truthful, but just be prepared and make the most!

Good Luck!

Its going to sound generic... but lots of cold emailing, calling, etc. until I get face time then so its more of a sales pitch to get an interview. Got maybe 5 FO interviews out of my 30 total interviews (various positions like AR/AP, BO, PWM, etc.) and completely failed the first 3 interviews for FO positions. The last 2 (IB DCM & AM Investment Analyst) gave me offers from the skills I acquired to learn how to pass an interview (still was not fully equip enough for the job).

Just learned how to break out of and beat the different stages of an interview process, not necessarily learning how to do job--- learned that on the job.

Edit: If you played League of Legends, you know it requires different skills to go from Silver to Gold, Gold to Plat, Plat to Diamond. Literally applied principles I learned from an online competitive game to Interview process and they worked!

Is a blatant lie unethical? I dunno, do priests touch little kids?

Is the bear Catholic? Does the pope shit in the woods?

Banks can overlook a poor GPA depending on the candidate (and your GPA isn't by any means atrocious). That being said, they will not overlook being lied to should this transpire.
