BB&T and SunTrust work short hours and pay no bonus. Would you take that 55k/year "investment banking" job?
If such a thing actually existed, and assuming the quality of the bank were the same, I'd take base pay with no bonus.
what kind of jobs right out of college only work 40 hours a day? the ones that pay 30-35k per year. If you want a better work-life balance with a good salary and good exit opportunites with an accounting background, go for a big 4 accounting firm and get your cpa. You do ibanking becuase you make a-rod money compared to everyone else out of college, and the exit opportunities are so great. The lack of a 'life' is just part of the game.
