International Student Seeking IB Advice
Hi everyone! While I admittedly have a long way to go before any IB recruiting, I wanted to gain some advice as I apply to college. For context, I am an international student a top boarding school (eg. Andover, Exeter, Deerfield, Hotchkiss) who is applying to UChicago (top choice), Amherst, Brown, Yale, Georgetown and a few more schools that could be defined as targets or safeties. I'm told that my profile (international level debate and service, Eagle Scout, grades, etc.) is competitive. Does anyone have advice specifically on the best schools for international student recruiting for IB/Consulting roles? I'm hoping to get some info on the pragmatic realities of recruiting
(I understand that it'll likely be tough). Thanks in advance!
Getting into and recruiting will be challenging at any of the schools you've mentioned as an international non-diversity. Good luck. Get rid of MBB/GS/JPM/MS or bust mentality and be open to any bank/job that you can find in the U.S.
Would Asian person of color be considered diversity? Also, thanks!
Even if you’re from countries like Nepal or Afghanistan with no representation in finance, you’re still not considered diversity cause they are in Asia.
Kinda proves the point about how fake it is.
Very similar situation here. Advice appreciated!
