  1. Understanding Various Industries:

    • In investment banking, you do deal with companies from various industries. However, there is often sector coverage for different bankers, similar to equity research. This means that bankers typically specialize in specific sectors, allowing them to develop deep expertise in those areas.
  2. Sector Coverage:

    • Yes, there is sector coverage for each person, much like in equity research. Sector bankers are responsible for preparing clients for tough questions, answering investor queries, and introducing clients during roadshows. They also create internal offering memoranda and prospectuses specific to their sector.
  3. Different Financial Models:

    • Indeed, different industries may require different financial models. The financial modeling can vary significantly depending on the industry due to different business dynamics, revenue models, and key performance indicators.
