IR at MF or IBD at BB - As a Nepo Baby I feel like doing the former
Hi all,
I really need some help on the below:
I got two offers: IBD at BB (GS/MS/JP) and IR at MF (Apollo, BX, KKR). I have done 2x BB IBD and I know I am not good enough for IB, so doing that third BB internship makes little sense. Additionally, I am chronically ill, which makes pulling 18hrs days living hell. I was thinking of doing IR instead and got lucky enough to get an offer of a MF.
Has someone been in a similar position? Any experienced opinions on this?

Congrats on both!!! If you know you can’t break into IB fulltime, just do IR instead. I think comp is way worse, but WLB is better so might help with your health issues

I would leverage both offers to get something like McDonald’s or Taco Bell. For me personally—I know you may think this is dumb—Wendy’s turned out to be the right place for me after turning down JPM/CVP/RBC offers.
