As I've been eyeing down schools to transfer to and reaching out, I've realized my chances are little-to-none as a Junior transfer. UNC and UVA were my main two but their business are impossible to get into as a transfer; I wouldn't leverage 6-figure loans for that marginal chance of getting into the business school let alone an Economics degree. Econ majors don't have access to OCR and are overshadowed by the business schools.
I'm confident I can get into the b-school at W&M but is it worth the OOS tuition? I go to a very non-target school and won't have a chance at IB unless I transfer. I've heard the alumni network is very strong as they have events for networking.
I want brutal honesty. Are there any other schools you all recommend? Vanderbilt would be another option as well.

Goldstein, retake the SAT and shoot for a relatively transfer-friendly school like Cornell if banking really matters this much to you.
For the love of god apply to USC. We recruit hard and we run train in football.

as someone from that neck of the woods, I'd blow my brains out before I went to W&M. try for UVA or UNC. if you're from NC, there's no sense in going to W&M over UNC.
Yeah I've heard it's a very conservative area and they have issues with grade deflation (if that's what you're pointing at).
All these schools are out-of-state but I'm confident I can get my money's worth. Is Econ at UVA still worth it?
unless you're already in the WASPy Virginian network, UVA will be better for you in every aspect of college.
I'll say this once again: UVA over W&M.
I see a lot of UVA and University of Richmond b-school grads. That's probably because I am networking in Richmond. I think I have only seen one or two W&M. Take that for what it's worth.
