Here is the reply from the professor that controls and started it:

Hello, I had a couple questions about the IB Workshop at Indiana University. Can you please take the time to answer them:

  1. I am Out Of State, and will probably be a direct admit (>3.7 GPA). Will preference be given to Kelly admits be given to In State students? AS FAR AS THE APPLICATION AND ADMITTANCE PROCESSES, THERE IS NO PREFERNECES FOR IN STATE OR OUT OF STATE, OR DIRECT ADMIT OR OTHERWISE. WHAT MATTERS IS THE GPA WHICH NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST A 3.50 TO APPLY...MAYBE A 3.55 BY THE TIME YOU APPLY.

  2. How selective is the IB Workshop. If I maintain a 3.7 GPA at Indiana, will it be good enough to get into the IB Workshop? FOR THE IBW CLASS OF 2019 WE HAVE 140 APPLICATIONS THAT QUALIFY, AND I EXPECT IN MARCH TO ADMIT 75-80. AVERAGE GPA WILL BE A 3.80

  3. How many students are usually accepted to the IB Workshop? 75-80

  4. Is it true that the IB Placement is near 100%? NEAR! OF THE 67 SENIORS, 65 LANDED INTERNSHIPS, AND 60 LANDED FULLTIME JOBS. IN THE JUNIOR CLASS WE ARE AT 67 OF 80 WITH LANDED INTERNSHIPS. I SUSPECT THAT WE WILL CLOSE AT 70-72 OF THE 80. BOTTOM LINE IS THAT GETTING INTO THE IBW DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN INTERNSHIP....YOU HAVE TO WORK EXCEPTIONALLY HARD TO CLOSE AN INTERNSHIP.

Thank you for taking your time
