Jefferies Poached Top Fin Sponsors MDs from Barc

Crazy to see how many MDs have left Barclays since April, just saw Jefferies new release. They poached the Head of Financial Sponsors, and co-head both previously at Barclays until now.

Thoughts on Barclays future with all MDs leaving? Obviously always a BB but interesting times for them.

That's for the entire year, and they are barely above UBS. DB isn't even top 10, but I think it's fair to say Barclays/UBS is the same tier at least Global league table-wise. Also, keep in mind Barclays seniors leaving has been recently, so it might take a bit longer to be fully reflected as the deals those seniors worked on earlier in the year still count for this year's rankings. Realistically, I would still guess it would be 6th or 7th among the bulges(assuming Citi restructuring doesn't somehow have it joining UBS/Barclays).

Edit : re-looked at league tables, they were also below UBS last year in terms of global M&A deals. I think they remain in that place now.
