Getting back into IB several months after a RIF - what to do?

Got laid off in September, thanks to a RIF in my group. Before that, I had clocked in over a year in IB and a couple of years in CB. I've been hitting LinkedIn hard, applying everywhere from corporate strategy to IB, even PE, but no luck with offers yet.

Has anyone else been through this grind? It feels like interviews are drying up in the coming months. I'm burning out from endless networking calls and interviews, and honestly, I'm not sure how to make the best use of my time right now. I'm not looking for sympathy – just some solid advice from anyone who's been in the same boat. Appreciate it.

Exercise and visit friends and fam. It's nice to take some time off before getting back into job searching. Believe plenty of places are likely to start looking to onboard new analysts soon, as dealflow is picking back up significantly

In a similar situation, was laid off in June, but have noticed more places were giving interviews in oct and nov. but still searching. I’ve been still applying to places every day

Lots of places are now short staffed but dealflow is picking up. Give it some time and you’ll find a good job soon
