JP Morgan CCB
I was curious if anyone had some insight to this group and what the interview process is like and how it compares to ib interviews and the technicals asked. There was a pretty insightful post from 5 years ago but was curious if anyone had insight to the group now in relation to work/life balance, pay, exit ops, etc.. Any insight would be appreciated and I have SBs for those that are able to help
Are you talking about CCBSI? If so, I would love to know as well
I am referring to the Corporate Client Banking group, not sure if that is what you are looking for
Bump
A friend of mine interned there last year. Its your typical corporate banking role, $85K base first year, 30-40% bonus. Interns make street standard $85K pro-rated ($40/hr...$60/Overtime). Work life balance is a little better than IB, same for all CB/LevFin roles. Intern and 1st year training is with IBD. Companies they work with must have over $500M in revenue. Exit ops, could be moving into an IB role within the bank, or since you work with institutional clients frequently, an exit to buy-side is very plausible with solid networking and just having JP on your resume carries a lot of weight. Also plenty of other internal possibilities within JP.
Interesting that base is $85K since CCB is technically housed within JPM's Commercial Bank.
Speaking in terms of NYC, pretty standard if you ask me
Can confirm with everything said above. Currently work at JPM and have former classmates in CCB
So in the Commercial Bank, CCB would pay the most with ABL next and MM the lowest? What about SLF?
I've also heard WF/BofA Commercial/Corporate Banking pays less
Is moving to IBD after the summer feasible?
bump, anyone know answer to this?
Talked to HR about this, they said it entirely depends on the year. This past summer, for example, had no open spots for the formal internal mobility process into CIB from any summer position in the bank. Sometimes CIB under-hires summers by accident in certain groups, or people leave for other banks. Without a connection, that’s generally the best bet on making the jump.
No. This is incorrect.
Corporate banking/ institutional banking at JPM is 70-75k first year. Bonus is not 30-40% either smh. It can range from 5 to 10k For the first few years.
Who ever told you that was completely mistaken. Also, interns are paid hourly at about $33 per hr. There is no overtime.
Only first year analysts inside the investment bank and inside AM get 85k base at JPM.
You're information is very outdated. That was maybe true in 2015. I currently go to a target and have multiple sources that can confirm they've upped the salary to $85K first year and prorated for interns.
So your telling me that me that my mentor, who is an ED inside of CCB for RE is wrong. -_-
Also, your telling me that first year analyst at CCB in JPM are getting bonuses of at least 25k (30%) when AM analyst (who make the bank more money) are getting bonuses of 10-15k.
I know way more people in the bank than you do from your little target school. I actually worked at JPM. I'm not on the outside looking in like you. Actually, I know the recruiter who is looking at your app and we are meeting next week to catch up. lmao
So yes, there is a possibility it may be 85k ALL IN, but its certainly not 85k base.
This is why people with NO REAL SOURCES and who are still in school should only be taken with a grain of salt.
Asked my friend who interned in CCB last year to send me a screenshot of their offer letter. Hope you confirm with your own "real sources" before ranting on this forum lol
You're so wrong it's not even funny. $85k all in for CB at JPMorgan in 2017? Get real. Most analysts are easily clearing 6 figures all in.
You're wrong Khaleesi
Has anyone heard anything about Full-Time recruiting here?
My best guess, along with all other FT recruiting is that there are less spots due to returning SAs.
Most definitely, just wondering if they had spots/or wrapped up by now.
Associate comp ladder at JPM CCB? Please let me know.
Anyone have a superday for CCB in NY?
Could you post a link to that thread? Thanks!

superday for CCBSI or MMBSI? And was it group specific? Congrats on your offer though!

Anyone have info on current CCB recruiting timeline?
CCBSI had a super day in the South East yesterday. Anyone know how long it takes to hear back from JPM normally?
bump.
Offers go out within 24 hours or Monday by the latest if you came in on a Friday. This is of course dependent on the group, and also on how quickly HR gets offer decisions to your school team/recruiters. Could take up to 2 weeks to hear back but that usually means you're on the waitlist/shortlist in case someone declines an offer.

My buddy interned at a corporate bank this summer . He was getting out at 6-7 even 5ish on Fridays. Summers in Corp Banking are lighter due to your clients being on vacation.
The bank didn't lead left as much as JP so expect longer hours. You will be working more than 40 hours a week, but before you log OT, make sure everyone else is too.
Does anyone know if the timeline for ccbsi fulltime recruiting is already over? Still waitig to hear back from the energy group down in houston and dallas (south)
Is it possible to move into LevFin after 2 years in CCB?
Does IBD look down in CCB internal transfers?
Yes. Spoke to people this summer who successfully did so.
No. If you made it from CCB to CIB you earned it - the firm would not just hand out a mobility offer. You have to be a performer based on what I’ve heard from those who did it or know people who did it. If you perform in CIB after moving from CCB, you will not be looked down upon. If you don’t perform, you’ll be looked down upon.
Does anyone have any updates for CCBSI or MMBSI in Los Angeles area? Also I didn’t see any comments regarding Los Angeles area so if anyone interned/works there and can bring insight I would very much appreciate it.
isnt CCB on the Chase side of JPMC?
.
CCB is JP Morgan, MMBSI is JP Morgan & Chase, retail is Chase.
Source: use to work for JPM CCB.
No. I think some people touched on it here, but it's a hybrid role between their investment and commercial bank. Their clients have revenue between $500m-$2bn... Still mostly lending and treasury services but they do interact quite a bit with the product guys in DCM and LF.
Question to those who have worked a year or more in CCB. I am starting full time this summer and am curious about the typical workload might consist of as an analyst. What is the extent of modeling work?

Does anyone know if they have started interviewing for this position in NYC?
Have a contact there, she told me recruiting would be finished by mid-late feb
That's odd they didn't stop taking applications until March 1st on the website
They usually have the resume drop period till march in case someone renegs etc. If I'm not mistaken, the CCB SA class is extremely tiny and there were about 2-3 interns in NYC last summer (this is on the banking side not credit)
appreciate the reply

So I recently received a first round interview for a CCB Summer analyst position. Just wondering what I should expect and prepare for in a first round, and if anyone had any insight/impressions on the group.
Thanks
@wonton3866 were there any surprises in you first round? Anything you would recommend going over?
What is your current status on this. also, did you apply through school website or JPM website? I am also wondering the same for this group

Has anyone heard back for an interview or offer from JPMorgan CCBSI Full-time program? I applied to both the energy and FIG groups but havent heard anything back.
Also applied to the asset&wealth management full-time programs but havent heard back either.
Anything comments/suggestions would be helpful. I know its late in the recruiting cycle so i'm a little worried.
