JPM SIG M&A
Inspired by the job posting, any insights on the JPM SIG M&A team? Seems like just a sponsor m&a team. How is the M&A team at JPM broadly set up.

They're not much different from the broader M&A team, just a slightly different set of responsibilities. They still conduct M&A transactions, with more focus on sponsor-backed companies and maintaining materials/supporting business development with sponsors.
Broadly the M&A team is a generalist group, its not like that in practice especially once you've gotten past your first year as an Analyst or as a stub, with a lot of people getting filtered into certain industries
Thanks. Any insights on culture and exits? Does JPM internally consider these guys and the broader M&A guys to be the same group?
