LA IB’s with decent WLB

Like the titles says, are there some banks in LA that allows some sort of WLB? I have seen grief & co but don’t have a lot of info on them. Any other banks?

Have heard the same. Tbh prob looking for smaller shops (not concerned with prestige, more focused on getting experience and still having a life)

During the pandemic deal flow has been so absurd for that office that the analysts have been absolutely hammered. However, 2/3 analysts who decided to recruit just placed MF. 2nd years have it much easier at CSLA (post PE offer) while first years get really grinded. But that’s what makes for an top learning experience because half of the office is senior bankers.

Controversial

It's incredible you comment literal falsehoods regarding pe recruiting. Over half the office went for MF with some not even placing. The self-claimed top analyst and recruiting head literally couldn't swing any PE despite his MD calling most of the funds in his rolodex and is at a no name shop in Utah.

CS LA is a fucking sweatshop and they literally had over half of their first year class leave before last August (the one year mark). Hours are terrible and they are too lean and can't even pull/keep top kids either

Also it is not "great learning experience" as you learn how to do a sponsor process which takes 1-2 reps and then you want to bang your head because you get staffed on too many sponsor deals or you have to do a stupid lodging deal because half the class left and a third of the class is incompetent/checked out.

Yes it is a BB but you won't get MF unless your profile otherwise is MF-caliber. Simple as that.

wow you are an idiot in all respects. you don't respond in the other thread because you know you're completely wrong and still feel the need to comment on another one? in the past 3 years, with a class size of 5, exits include Silver lakeWarburg, Genstar, LGP, Ares, Clearlake, Francisco. As the above person stated, 2/3 analysts this year who went for PE placed MF.

"with some not even placing" so you expect that a group should have 100% placement into MF? please tell me what group has 100% of kids who want to go into PE and have all place into MF. "you won't get MF unless you profile is MF-caliber" so what group does this not apply to? Looking forward to your dim-witted answers.

Hahahahaha, seen this guy on the other LA threads. I love his tenacity

It's incredible that half your comments on WSO is prestige whoring and shit-talking other universities/banks just to make yourself feel more superior.

"You won't get MF unless you profile otherwise is MF-caliber" you think MFs will take an idiot who doxxes people and talks out of his ass like you? MFs would take rockstar analysts from average BBs over some obnoxious insecure kid at GS TMT. There's a reason why your SB/MS ratio is 1

Comp used to be street, $85K base with ~$40K bonus.

Honestly seemed like a great deal to me, great hours, good culture, decent deal flow and street/slightly lower pay.

Still the king of LA IB in all aspects, deal flow, exits and amount of hours worked.
