Laid off, looking for work in NYC

I was let go from a top IB boutique a few months ago due to firmwide restructurings. I had no notice.

I did some soul searching and think growth equity would be a great fit for my skill set, interests, and long term plans. Problem is, landing an associate role in this space seems to be through networking only, and my network is pretty limited to bankers.

I’ve tried cold emailing which has worked sometimes, but these firms either weren’t hiring or would force me to relocate. I’d need to stay in NYC.

Ideal sector is consumer or consumer tech but open to business services, software or tech as well.

If anyone knows someone who is looking for an associate with 3 years of IB experience please DM me! I work really hard, have a great attitude, am personable and despite having solid training I’m willing to teach myself anything if given the shot!

Should also mention I’m open to MM or LMM PE as well. Casting a wider net because it’s rough out there!

Thank you all!
