Lateral Market going into early 2025

This post will sound so stupid, but I recently started as a first year analyst at a MM industry boutique that is known to be a strong player in their respective vertical and even though it’s not been super long, I feel like I’ve joined a sinking ship.

Sure, the MDs are super sharp and most are ex-BB MDs/groupheads but deal size + flow has dropped massively over the past year and many of the strong juniors have left/are leaving. I am still going to give it my best shot, but I think it’s in my best interest to think about lateral hiring for BBs/EBs going into 2025. Was wondering if anyone had any idea on what that might look like right now.
