Career Resources
they're mid tier in the large cap SF tech world. Obv. not as strong as your household Q/GS/MS but still a great job.
Oh I see, haven't heard too much about them but know they are like google's "go to advisor." Would exit opps not be so great from there?
Opps would be ok but they are not lights out like Qatalyst or MS Menlo
It's me from the other thread - can you PM me your email address? Can't respond to your PM for another 2 days...made a new acct for anonymity
So Lazard seems to be the sole adviser for the Google Apigee deal. Would this be headed by the SF office since it's basically tech?
Yes. Can confirm that their SF group services the Google account. To the other poster above, you are also correct in describing the relationship as "go to advisor." Can't say with certainty that they don't take meetings with other banks, but the relationship between that advisor and the company is very deep.
I'm not in a position to compare the group to other tech groups in SF, but will say that analysts do get solid exits from there. They aren't going to MF PE shops or even the most coveted VC gigs, but they are still getting good jobs and not sweating during their final months as analysts wondering what to do next. If anything, the average analyst in that group has stayed substantially less than two years due to exit opps (based solely on the past few years of analysts).
