Leveraging Return Offer from Regional IB
I'm currently a rising junior. I've just received a return offer from a regional investment bank for my junior summer. I was wondering if I could use this return to leverage BB interviews? My concern is that obviously this bank is not comparable in terms of reputation to a BB and my BB contacts may not take the offer seriously?
Absolutely - your IB experience will be hugely valuable towards securing you interviews for your junior year internship.
It won't have much of an effect, to be honest. I've tried pulling the same thing last year and no one would budge/take you seriously when you have that superday with a bb or eb. Good luck though.
Thanks for the input! In your experience did it help you get any first rounds prior to the superday? If so, was it more useful to reach out to HR or your banking contact?
