Life at a Bulge Bracket satellite office?

This forum has a lot of discussion on BB vs EB and the nuances of the two, but I haven't seen many discussions on what life is like at BB satellite offices. Out of personal curiosity, does anyone have any insights into what these offices are like? Let's assume for simplicity that we're talking about small to moderate sized offices (not as large as the mothership obviously but more than 1 MD and support staff) and ones that generate revenue as well (actually source deals, not just back office support hubs). Would be really interested in hearing any perspectives and opinions!
