Liontree 2023 Thoughts
Any updated insight on comp, deal flow, exits, and general perception would be really great!

Strong firm, on some good stuff. A little sweaty but the culture is good. Comp is high. Exits are meh compared to other TMT EBs. Have lost a number of heads to PJT and others.
Thanks! Would you say lateral opps are open if one starts a LT and wants to pivot to TMT BB/EB?

Why would you say there isn’t a ton of overlap between LT and IB?
No idea what the poster above is on about but LionTree is solid. Have had good recent exits (LinkedIn shows people going to WCAS, Stonepeak, Brookfield, Cinven) and have seen them on some interesting strategic / sponsor-driven deals. Overall perception is good.

ok, you can lateral from LionTree to anywhere else in tech or media. brand is strong.
Well respected firm with high comp. Heard culture is good but they’re known for long hours. As someone above said, their exits are solid and the few heads lost seem more like layoffs over people quitting. Not a lot of info on their investing side available but otherwise a reputable bank.
