LULUMEON Tanks

So im sure many of you saw LULU dropped over 17% this trading session with news of the departure of their CEO.

People think that LULU might be in serious trouble w/the loss of the CEO like when Apple lost jobs (source- http://www.cnbc.com/id/100807285)

Any thoughts of the future of LULU? (Note: Many of the big banks/ER arms had a buy rating but just cut it to hold or sell)

Whoever is comparing Christine Day to Steve Jobs has no clue how this business works and probably wouldn't think anything strange about comparing Anderson Cooper to Ron Jeremy.

didn't say I agree, just a quote from CNBC.

Yeah didn't mean to direct it at you, but rather the source, sorry.

Anyway, you're going to see LULU "start" to underperform and a ton of people will point to Christine's departure as the reason for it, but the truth is they can't sustain the kind of retarded expectations they'd been given over the past few quarters. Margins are destined to come down and they certainly have and will continue to, because that's the nature of the beast, especially in the retail world in a space where it's not like they're stopping anyone from making the same product. Liken it to a Tempur-Pedic or something in that regard. The brand only carries for so long before things start to get squeezed.

This "news" broke yesterday and the stock took the dive in AH trading.

Using ER in an argument is useless.

okay thanks for the technical clarification on the time when the news took place. regardless of when it took place or when the price dipped, it still lost a significant amount of mkt cap....

If anything, Chip Wilson is the Steve Jobs of the company and he left a long time ago. Same general premise, kinda off-putting weird guy with strange libertarian views that everyone thinks are radical besides being overwhelmingly logical, total product Nazis, stubborn assholes to work for, etc.

Anyway for the first time I am disappoint that this wasn't a clothing and apparel thread. I'm all about dat Lululemon bro tank when I'm doing plyo or yoga at the 'nox. Thought we were gonna talk about that instead :/
