Mistake to leave BB?

Im 26 working at a BB. Im a high performer on the team looking at early promotions and all that. With that said, I’m not sure if this is burn out, but I sort of want out.

I hate going into office, the hours, the culture, the politics etc.

Not sure what I want to do but I do like the appeal of working remote in tech or maybe even a company like Bloomberg. Is that just career suicide going there? For those who left the industry, what did you exit into?

If you don't see yourself as an MD, better to leave early than to ride the promotion to VP+

Your success outside IB is going to depend on your track record in whatever you decide to pursue. So the better and longer you have that experience, the more opportunities you'll have

I mean you can head back to IB when the market heats up again, if that's what you really want to do but I've never really seen someone do so. Probably because they're used to working 2 times less
