I know there are older threads on this but a few of them are from 3+ years ago. Some of those posts say that going from MM IB SA to BB IB FT has gone down drastically or almost even non-existent. Curious on how it is currently (ignoring COVID) and what the process looks like. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! I have a few questions. Were you in a “good” or “bad” group at the MM firm? Was your SA position in NYC or in another city? Did you rely heavily on networking? I would love the help because I will be in a MM IB next summer and want to be at a BB for FT.
I was in a good group in NYC. I did not rely heavily on networking but I think it did help.
