Moelis LA or NYC

Current sophomore here, been networking at both NYC and LA offices and didn’t realize you can only apply to one. Looking back it seems like the LA office is less Rx than the NYC. Any other differences? How does LA compare to NYC in 2024?

LA is almost all M&A, generalist but highly concentrated across TMT and C&R with some Industrials here and there. NY is specific group placement. Both offices are hard working, but LA tends to be culturally much more relaxed than NY making the wlb feel better in LA. Both offices exit well and have solid placements across both East Coast and West Coast.
