Quick answer: Yes.
It really depends on how the market recovers, up or sideways, and how quickly not just the market, but dealflow recovers. Banks usually operate as lagging indicators. Everything starts kicking up, and then banks suddenly realize, "shit, we need analysts - hire, stat." And so it begins. BBs should be recruiting more people as we get into recruiting season, but how many is TBD.

I think hiring will pick up at full speed when the clas of 2013 graduates
