Need advice for interesting situation

Hi guys,

I completed an internship with a BB last year but was not offered a FT chance due to headcount issues (they tried to find placements for me at some other divisions but to no avail). Is it advisable to apply to the same department in the same BB for graduate apps or should I apply for other divisions in the same BB which are somewhat related in terms of skills (e.g. ER and IBD), assuming that I just want to get my foot at the door. Do banks offer interviews to applicants who were not given an offer previously? Any constructive advice will be appreciated. Cheers!

Why don't you try contacting your mentor/manager (assuming they liked you, which it seems they did if they tried to place you elsewhere in the firm) and see what they have to say?
