Need advice from a seasoned recruiter

Monkeys,

I need advice from a seasoned recruiter at a BB bank or established PE firm.

Background:

CA/CFA II Candidate, working in audit at a Big 4 in Vancouver, Canada (2nd year). Finance/Accounting undergrad at non-target, 3.7 GPA.

What I need:

I am assessing several opportunities and I would like to provide specifics but would rather not post to the public. My goal is to eventually apply for top 10 MBA and work at a BB bank or established PE firm in the states.

Opportunities:

M&A Advisory within the firm
Pros
- Maintain big 4 brand
Cons
- Partner recently left, might have less deal flow than other opportunities

Boutique investment bank
Pros
- One of the larger boutiques in western Canada by employees
- Higher deal flow

Cons
- Brand may not be recognized by top 10 MBA

Private equity firm#1
Pros
- Will be working in a team of 3 for two top executives with extensive experience within the industry
- Investments require greater than $10M revenues, $2M EBITDA
- Will be able to obtain PE experience without working in banking

Cons
- The group does not have an executive assistant, as such I will be responsible for administrative duties (booking flights, cleaning dishes) on top of my research responsibilities

Private equity firm#2
Pros
- High deal flow (focuses on smaller investments)
- Is more established that the other opportunity (has an EA).

Cons
- Smaller deals
- The two executives I will be working with are not as impressive
- The smaller deal experience may put me at a disadvantage in comparison to other MBA candidates that worked on larger deals.

If you have experience with top 10 MBA applications or recruiting at an established PE firm, please pm me and I can provide more in depth detail.

Thanks in advance,
