Networking into Investment Banking While Employed in Corporate Finance

Hi all,

I'm looking for advice on networking into IB from corporate finance FP&A. I graduated in the spring, and I've been employed at an F150 company doing FP&A for the past two months, but I'm determined to break into banking. Before graduating, I was very successful in making connections and getting interviews through cold emails, however I'm having trouble getting responses now that I'm employed full-time; I can no longer use the "I'm in college, and I'd love to learn more about your position" card, and I no longer have access to CapIQ to learn about relevant deals. Does anyone have suggestions for how I can successfully connect with people that can give me an interview?

For background, I went to a non-target, and I graduated with high GPAs in both of my majors and my masters program. I've been through countless super days for full-time and internship positions, but never ended up with an offer. Essentially, I took my current position so I didn't form a gap on my resume.

I know this is an uphill battle, but I'd appreciate any advice on how to position my emails and anything else I could be doing to improve my chance of landing an interview at an investment bank. Thanks for your input.
