Networking noob/HS IB aspirant

I’m going into my junior year, and thought this was a good time to start a LinkedIn and start networking. So I made an account a neat and simple bio. Now what? For a little more context, I’m from the UAE and I want to break into IB (yes another kid that wants to get into IB), but I’m currently not sure where, but there are three options — 1. New York: pretty self explanatory, problem is extremely high cost of living, extremely high taxes, not really safe either, but it’s New York! But US also because of deal activity and value. 2. Switzerland: a backup just in case I don’t get into a target in the US, which is very likely because it’s getting more competitive by the second, esp for international students that require financial aid, also a shorter econ program (3 years) problem is again, high taxes, high cost of living, and not many Muslims (which is not that big a deal). Also, Switzerland has the most IB hires in the US outside the US if I’m not wrong. 3. UAE: relatively low cost of living, zero taxes, extremely safe. Maybe graduate from a top business school in Europe. Problems: I mean… it’s not no NYC.

Right so I drifted away from the topic quite a bit, but these are my three options and the reasoning… so I want my networking to consist of bankers or people working in high finance in these countries mostly. I just want some help and what I can do to boost my LinkedIn profile and how I can start networking like at least like a semi-target student working at an internship in a BB. I say semi-target cause it’s a lot easier for target to get internships. Thank you
